Boys & Girls Clubs of the Upstate is seeking state assistance to expand its successful after-school model to five new locations in the coming year. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Upstate began in Spartanburg County in 1989 and now operates 10 clubs in Spartanburg and Cherokee counties, serving about 1,000 students per day.
